National Doughnut Day - November 5th
So apparently National Doughnut Day has two dates. The first is celebrated the first Friday in June and the second on November 5th. I guess doughnuts are special enough to have two National Holidays!
This holiday celebrates sugary sweet, finger licking doughnuts. Why not celebrate this holiday at the doughnut shop? Get yourself some fresh made doughnuts with a nice hot cup of coffee and savor in this sweet treat. YUMMY!
National Doughnut Day started in 1938 as a fund raiser for the Chicago Salvation Army. Their goal was to help the needy during the Great Depression, and to honor the Salvation Army "Lassies" of World War I, who served doughnuts to soldiers behind the front lines in France.
I want a Doughnut now...lol
